Charley Raiff is the award-winning composer and book writer behind 'Luxury Problems.' His unique blend of musical artistry and storytelling helped refine his experience growing up in Manhattan to the stage. Raiff's career is marked by significant achievements, including the development and recording of the song cycle 'Baby Blue,' co-written and produced with Henry Hey, the musical director of 'Lazarus.’ His work is noted for its simple yet unique voice, lush stylings, drawing comparisons to celebrated composers like Elton John and Burt Bacharach.
As a composer assistant’s and apprentice to Tony-award winner Stew, Raiff honed his skills in musical theater with 'The Total Bent' at the Public Theater, demonstrating a profound understanding of dramatic musical composition. He also founded the composer-centric creative media company Tuner Music, showcasing his ability to blend artistic creativity with commercial success with several commercial, movie and TV placements.
Raiff's performances as a singer-songwriter and artist at various New York venues, collaborating with high-profile musicians from NY pop and Broadway orchestras, further illustrate his diverse musical talents. Raiff' holds a Bachelor's in Fine Arts in Piano and Composition from The New School of Jazz and Contemporary Music and a Bachelor of Music from Berklee School of Music.
