Fresh from her move, Cindy beams after waking up on her first day of work in NYC.

Now, In New York (pt.2)

At morning rush of Sambux Coffee, the morning anxiety of New Yorkers opens up. Then, (dialogue during musical interlude,) Cindy bumps into Jeffrey Tracey, who turns out to be her boss.

Now, In New York (pt.3)

2. Let Me Tell You Bout My (Shitty Little) Life

Manny, the doorman, defends why he deserves a better life as his co-workers, and why Jeffrey Tracey, Cindy's boss and a media personality, will be his ticket as he transfers his building, 362 Park Avenue.

5. Gotta Feel Bad To Look Good

At the office, Cindy, Jeffrey Tracey's new assitant, is lectured to about how to become more like him: famous, respected, and rich. 

7. When I'm 18

Winston is tired of his zealous mother Jessica, who overburdens herself with her and her son's social status as she tries to compensate for her divorce.

8. Bakery In Stamford

Cindy, tired of her job, confesses she's always wanted something simpler, as she considers the negatives of being as ambitious as she has been.

9. Legacy

At lunch, having introduced new divorcee Jessica to her posse of wealthy girlfriends, Cecilia tries to help Jessica understand the best way to rise the social ranks of Manhattan's elite: donate!

Act II*

12. I just found out I became a meme

Walter, senior doorman at 362 Park Avenue, finds out he's an overnight sensation on the internet, stunning the ruminating Manny.

13. If I planned my funeral

Manny, having gotten nowhere in his plans, and now diverted, cheers himself up when imagining his friends remembering, as the fantasy "success" he dreams of seems to slip away.

14. Good ol' Fashioned American Narcissism

In the Center of the Universe-ity Club, Jeffrey explains his philosophy of self-love as a remedy for the criticism, and even good advice, of others.

19. Normal Cells

After an emotional confrontation at the gala, Jessica reassures her son Winston that she loves and cares deeply for him.
